How to Use DropToPC

Follow these steps to send photos and videos from your iPhone to your Windows PC.

DropToPC is an end-to-end encrypted transfer app.
It does one thing: securely transfer your photos and videos from your iPhone to your PC.

1. Install DropToPC on your PC

On your Windows PC, go to droptopc.com.
Click Download for Windows.
Open the downloaded installer and finish the setup.
Open DropToPC.

If Windows asks for permission, allow DropToPC to use your local network. This helps your iPhone connect directly to your PC when possible.

2. Scan the QR code

Open DropToPC on your PC. You will see a QR code.
Open the DropToPC app on your iPhone.
Point your iPhone at the QR code on your PC.
Wait for the app to show that your PC is ready.

If the QR code expired, get a new QR code on your PC and scan it again.

3. Send photos and videos

Tap Send to PC on your iPhone.
Choose the photos or videos you want to send.
Keep DropToPC open while the transfer is running.
When you see Sent, the transfer is complete.

Auto Backup to PC

If Auto Backup is available on your plan, you can choose a starting date or choose All. DropToPC will then back up eligible new photos and videos when your PC is available.

If you can’t connect

Make sure DropToPC is open on your PC.
Get a new QR code and scan it again.
If you see Fix Windows Firewall on your PC, click it and allow the change.
If your iPhone asks for Local Network access, tap Allow.
