Overview

DropToPC is developed and operated by DONG JIANG. DropToPC is designed to transfer photos and videos from your iPhone to your Windows PC without cloud photo storage.

No DropToPC account is required.

Photos and videos

DropToPC accesses photos and videos only when needed to perform transfer or backup features that you choose to use.

Your photos and videos are transferred to your PC. DropToPC does not use its servers as cloud storage for your photos or videos.

How transfers work

When your iPhone and PC can connect directly, DropToPC transfers data directly between the devices.

When a direct connection is not available, an encrypted transfer may be relayed through DropToPC infrastructure. Relay servers process encrypted transfer data only for the duration of the transfer. The transfer data is discarded when the transfer session ends and is not stored as cloud content.

Information processed to provide the service

DropToPC may process limited technical information needed to pair devices, establish connections, route transfers, maintain security, and operate the service. This can include connection or session information, network information such as IP addresses, device or app technical information, and transfer status information.

This information may be generated automatically when you pair devices, establish a connection, use Relay, verify a purchase, or perform a transfer.

DropToPC creates a random installation identifier used for service operation. It is not based on your Apple ID, phone number, filenames, or photo or video metadata.

This information is used to provide and protect the DropToPC service, not for advertising.

App permissions

DropToPC uses camera access only to scan the temporary QR code shown on your PC.

Local Network access is used to connect your iPhone directly to your paired Windows PC when possible.

Photos access is used only for the photo and video transfer features you choose to use. Full Photos Access may be required for Automatic Transfer.

After a manually initiated transfer is successfully verified, the app presents an optional deletion prompt for the transferred items. No photos or videos are deleted unless you explicitly choose to delete them.

Purchases

If you purchase a DropToPC subscription or other in-app purchase through Apple, payment processing is handled by Apple. DropToPC may receive information needed to verify purchase or entitlement status, but does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Support emails

DropToPC provides customer support and privacy assistance by email only.

If you contact DropToPC by email for customer support, privacy questions, or other assistance, we may process your email address, the content of your email, and any attachments or other information you choose to provide.

Support emails are used only to respond to your request, provide follow-up assistance, troubleshoot problems, and protect the security and reliability of the service. They are not used for advertising or marketing.

Support emails and their attachments are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide follow-up support, troubleshoot issues, protect the security and reliability of the service, or comply with applicable legal requirements. They are deleted when they are no longer reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Third-party services

DropToPC may use service providers to operate its infrastructure and deliver the service. These providers may include hosting, networking, Relay infrastructure, and email service providers. These providers may process limited technical information only as necessary to provide services to DropToPC. When Relay is used, service providers supporting DropToPC infrastructure may also process encrypted transfer data only for the duration necessary to complete the transfer.

DropToPC does not permit service providers to use your personal information for advertising or for their own unrelated purposes. Service providers are required to provide the same or equivalent level of protection for personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable privacy requirements.

Advertising and sale of personal information

DropToPC does not sell your personal information and does not use your photos or videos for advertising.

Data retention

Photos and videos are not retained by DropToPC as cloud-stored user content. When Relay is used, encrypted transfer data is discarded when the transfer session ends.

Network information such as IP addresses may be processed transiently as necessary to establish, secure, and operate active connections. DropToPC does not retain this information in access or request logs.

Temporary connection and session information may be retained only for as long as necessary to provide pairing, transfer, Relay, recovery, or other requested service functionality, and is deleted when it is no longer required for those purposes.

DropToPC may retain a randomly generated installation identifier and limited service usage information as necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the service. This information is not used to directly identify you and is not associated with your name, Apple ID, phone number, email address, photos, videos, or filenames.

Customer support communications are subject to the separate retention period described above.

Your choices

You control which photos and videos you choose to transfer. You can revoke or change DropToPC's access to Photos, Camera, or the Local Network at any time in iOS Settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when DropToPC changes. The updated date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last revised.
